June 16, 2026Stop Guessing: The Fastest Way to Improve Your Golf Game
One of the biggest reasons golfers struggle to improve is simple—they’re guessing.
With so much golf instruction available online, it’s easy to jump from one swing tip to another without a clear plan. But lasting improvement rarely comes from trying everything. It comes from focusing on the right priorities and receiving consistent feedback.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve noticed that golfers improve much faster when they stop guessing. Whether during an in-person lesson or through remote coaching, progress happens when players understand exactly what they’re trying to change and why. What we feel in the golf swing and what’s actually happening are often two very different things.
The good news is that improvement doesn’t usually require major swing changes. Small adjustments, practiced consistently over time, often produce the biggest results. A clear plan and regular feedback help golfers build confidence, eliminate unnecessary guesswork, and improve more efficiently.
In this edition of Tee It Up Tuesday, I also share three simple bunker tips that can help you make cleaner contact and get out of the sand more consistently. Plus, True Spec Golf’s Naples South location at Durland Golf School is officially back open and stocked with the latest 2026 equipment.
