June 2, 2026What Good Practice Actually Looks Like
One of the biggest mistakes I see golfers make is trying to work on too many things at once.
With unlimited access to videos, social media tips, and golf instruction online, it’s easy to fall into the trap of constantly searching for the next swing thought or quick fix. Unfortunately, that approach often creates confusion rather than improvement.
The golfers who improve the fastest usually do the opposite.
Instead of chasing multiple swing changes, they focus on one or two priorities, practice them consistently, and receive feedback along the way. They aren’t constantly changing directions. They’re following a plan.
Most golfers don’t need more information. They need clarity.
This is one of the biggest advantages of remote coaching. Rather than guessing what to work on, players can receive personalized feedback and focus their practice on the areas that will have the greatest impact on their game.
Through CoachNow, my remote coaching students can send swings from anywhere and receive detailed video analysis, drills, and ongoing guidance. The result is more productive practice, greater accountability, and faster improvement.
Improvement in golf is rarely about doing more. It’s about doing the right things consistently over time.
In this week’s Tee It Up Tuesday newsletter, I also shared my latest instructional article recently featured on GOLF.com, where I discuss a simple drill to improve clubface awareness and help golfers eliminate slices, blocks, and inconsistent contact.
I also included a video featuring three of my favorite drills for improving consistency and making better contact.
