Carry Distance vs Total Distance
Most of the students we teach know their total distance but not their carry distance. Players should be more concerned with their carry distance. The reason is the game of golf forces us to carry bunkers, water hazards and other obstacles.
The best way to determine carry distance is on the golf course. A GPS yardage device will make this exercise much easier. Measure the distance from the divot to the ball mark on the green with each club.
